I admire people who love their craft, and Ken Rockwell LOVES photography.  He is one of the main reasons I got into photography and started this website.  I visit his News feed daily.  He is best known for gear reviews that are entertaining, highly informative, and directed to an audience of real people facing real budget decisions and seeking to overcome gear selection paralysis.  But beyond the reviews are  "how-tos" that provide tips, insight, and philosophy designed to make you a better artist focused on the art of photography.

If you frequent message boards, you will find people who are dismissive of Ken, in large part due to his immense popularity.  All I can say is "haters gotta hate."  Ken knows his stuff, and he is seriously committed to advancing the art of photography.  Time spent on his site is time well spent.  Check it out!

The gear reviews on these websites are more cut-and-dry, but they are still quite informative and use easy to follow formats.  I find PhotographyBlog a bit more straightforward, but  DPREVIEW's conclusion section features a cool comparison feature that allows you to compare camera ratings graphically.

Tech Radar is an omnibus tech website, but in addition to gear reviews, it has many pages of helpful tips for photographers, from beginner to advanced.  Check out this example.

National Geographic obviously has stunning images that you can spend countless hours admiring.  But it also has some great tips for photographers, as can be found here.

Putting YouTube on here is more than a bit obvious, but you would be hard pressed to find a photography subject that isn't covered by someone in video format.  It's a beautiful thing.  My favorite gear reviews are by Kai at DigitalRev -- snarky, witty, and informative.  Joshua at Professional Photography Tips also has some great information.
